Stuck

I'm loath to use the word 'stuck', however this is how I feel at the moment. I'm inundated with work, pitching for new contracts which is great for my bank balance - although it completely empties my head of all creative ideas for my own projects and this blog.
Visiting other blogs - seeing everyone writing wittily and creating fantastically - the more I do this the worse the 'stuckness' becomes.
I probably need to get away from this computer and go and play! Any ideas....?

I drew this alphabet a while ago and filled it with my patterns

It is refreshing to know someone with you talent gets stuck.
"Back Away From the Computer, Back Far Away" just for awhile, I really enjoy your creativity.

I can definitely relate to this--but it's always a relief when you fall out of being "stuck" and can get inspired again.

This alphabet is very lovely by the way. I love the unique patterns you used.

You're probably expecting too much of yourself!! Have a break! I'm in total sympathy though - a back ache has kept me away from the computer and paints and I am not feeling in the least bit like creating!
Love the alphabet.

Oh, we all feel stuck at times - so thank you for sharing this, Nicky. It seems that your energy is needed and used in your professional work at the moment, and that is okay. Do not force it. Blog less if you need to (but be careful not to fall out of the habit completely - I love visiting your blog!) and yes, get away from the computer for a bit. I think it can be a soul sucker sometimes - sucking up our time and energy and confronting us with all the wonderful creativity of others - all the inspiration can be quite overwhelming and can end up creating envy instead of inspiring us. I think you need to go and play a little. With your dog! PS Your alphabet is fantastic - I LOVE letters ...

I would recommend bicycling in the countryside (if you are into that sorta thing)...even a half day trip is liberating for me.

The alphabet set is really fabulous!

Jeepers, if this is what Stuck looks like, then move over! This is fantastic! Think of all the words you could spell with your groovy alphabet!

When the work subsides, all the creativity will hopefully rush back in as if the dam has been broken. And then you can just ride the wave. :)

Sorry to be late here Nicky.
I have exactly the same encounter of yours.
I am stuck too but I am on the wishful thinking.
Bella is right! Everything will be fine, it's just a temporary period.
We all have ups and downs. Then, only we appreciate life better.
Just like I appreciate your friendship Nicky.
Coming by for retreat and inspiration-Yes I lOVE!

Lovely magical letters are here to save the day.
Just tuck away the "stuck" and believe in "tuck"-"the ultimate creative kickstart" letters to spice up your days.
You have so much to offer, I am always back here to visit your blog no matter what happens!
